Saving Money on Removalist Costs

We often get asked, “How can I minimize the overall cost of my move?”

We also understand that a lot of our customers are very budget conscious. Removalists sometimes have hidden charges and expenses that people don’t really know about.

So, over the past 3 years at Flex Removals, we have developed a fair few ways that we help our customers cut the cost of their move.

The big thing is preparation. We strongly advise all of our customers to make sure that they have all their boxes packed up and ready to go. We can supply all the boxes and packaging supplies and deliver them to your door. This may seem like a small step in the process of moving, but it really is one of the most important places to start.

Using purpose made removal boxes means that every box is the same size and we don’t have 30 little boxes from Coles shopping centres that are going to break or fall apart. So, even though it might seem like a little thing, doing that will save a lot of time for the removalists when they come for the move and will also save you significant time packing.

We also recommended that if people have friends and family that want to help out with the move, by all means bring down the cousins. Call in a few favors from the family or friends and they can help out with some of the lighter things during the move which will cut down on time.

We also have customers that move all of their smaller items and boxes or anything like that could fit in their car prior to our team getting there. Using these techniques we’ve had guys do a full four bedroom house in just an hour or two because we were only moving the big, bulky furniture.

That being said our customers can do as much or as little as they want. We can do a full disassembly and reassembly of beds, disconnecting and reconnecting washing machines, TVs and anything like that. Basically, it’s completely up to you but we’re happy to give you these tips to save money at the end of the day.
